Cloud Security

Making smarter cloud security decisions

Focus on identity, configuration and data boundaries before adding more tools.

Understand shared responsibility

Cloud providers and customers protect different parts of an environment. Identify what your team configures and operates, and do not assume a managed service removes your responsibility for access or data handling.

Review permissions deliberately

Give users and workloads only the access their tasks require. Review unused identities, elevated privileges and recovery access. Document who approves changes to sensitive permissions.

Know where sensitive data lives

Map storage locations, exposure settings and data flows. Review access, encryption options and retention needs against your actual obligations.

Prepare for recovery

Agree what must be recovered, who owns the process and how recovery will be tested. Logs and backups are useful only when access and restoration procedures are understood.
